I thought I would put myself forward for consideration as an IPC Councillor as I was aware of the issues the village was facing and and knowing that there a shortage of people wanting take on those issues I thought that I could contribute and make a difference.

I have lived in the village for 20 years. I am married with 4 children between us and still working.

I bring some experience of working on major capital projects both in the UK and the Far East across many different sectors carrying out pre-contact and post-contract commercial management as well as project management and assurance.

The projects I have worked on have included Mass Transit Systems in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, the State Mosque of Sarawak in Malaysia as well as major rail projects such as the West Coast Mainline, and Great Western Main Line as well as Project Bowman for the MOD and the Early Works for the Horizon Nuclear Power Station in Anglesey. I have even worked on a development project in London owned by a member of Pink Floyd

I was also fortunate to be part of the assurance team for the ODA on the London 2012 Olympics to ensure that it was delivered on time and on budget.

More recently I have provided the assurance for the ECML Digital Rail business case and cost planning for the DfT and was asked by the Government Cabinet Office Complex Contracts Team to join DHSC to provide support as Commercial Lead for Covid Laboratory Testing, putting agreements in place at speed for PCR Surge Testing in the UK, France and Germany as well as the countrywide Covid React Testing carried out in Germany and the Waste Water Covid Surveillance Testing carried out in Denmark and now also Exeter.

Currently I am working as Associate Director for Currie and Brown Consultants on HS2 Phase 2A between Birmingham and Crewe providing pre-contract commercial input prior to the Tendering process.

When I an not working I enjoy walking the dogs around the Isham area and spending time in our static caravan in North Norfolk.
