A45 Chown Mill closure

The planned works at the Chowns Mill Roundabout in March and April have been revised. We have reduced the current programme, cancelling the full weekend closures. We are looking at the alternatives and will advise you of the works which are still required at a later date.

Closure of the A5028 Station Road will take place overnight from Monday 4 March as originally planned.

DB Symmetry and Bypass

As you know the situation regarding the DB Symmetry planning applications and its connection (or not!) with the bypass is very complicated. To date the residents of Isham have been deserted by BCW and KBC.

Appeal Ref: APP/L2820/W/18/3208228 - Land at Kettering Southoff A509 north of Isham

We have received the attached letter from Kettering Borough Council informing us that they do not propose to defend their own Councillors decision to refuse the application at the inquiry. We have also been informed that the Borough Council of Wellingborough will also not assist at the inquiry in defending the refusal. Unitary Update

The Government has finally responded to the submission by the Borough, District and County Councils for the reorganisation of local government in Northamptonshire.

A government consultation will now take place until 25th January 2019. Borough, District and Parish elections next year will be postponed with new Unitary and Parish Council elections taking place in May 2020.

The Planning Inspectorate have issued the 'Bespoke Programme' for the Public Inquiry in respect of the planning appeal made by DB Symmetry. bypass funding discussion

The NCC Cabinet are to discuss the Isham By-Pass at their meeting on the 9th October 2018 and the report papers are attached. Simply the promised funding from SEMLEP is being removed as the remaining funding has not been secured
