Having lived in Isham for 38 years and been on the parish council for approx 27 years, I have seen many changes in the village - not all for the good. There used to be three shops, two pubs and many thriving clubs and societies. We now have a very successful school, a well used pub, an updated playing field with more improvements planned, a cemetery now fit for purpose, greatly improved street lighting and community projects such as the Neighbourhood Plan underway. My major concern in the village is the ever increasing traffic volumes on the 509 and the lack of progress in achieving a bypass. The warehouse development under construction is industrial vandalism and we seem unable to generate any support either from BCW (as was), on the bypass and other issues, or NCC (as was), similarly. I would like to generate a good, positive working relationship with North Northants in the future especially regarding future developments, planning, transport and funding supportAfter university (Dunelm), I worked for forty plus years in light engineering and am now retired. I have been married, (to the same lady), for 53 years and have two daughters, four grandchildren and an elderly dog.
